There is trouble in Hamelin Town!  The village is overrun with rats who eat the cheese, the meat and the butter.  The mayor offers a great reward to anyone who can rid Hamelin of its rodents.  Then Peter receives a magical pipe from Fairy Bibblethwaite.  he leads all the rats from Hamelin and returns for his reward.  The mayor withdraws the reward, however, so Peter again plays his magical pipe, this time leading the children from Hamelin.  This play is faithful to the original legend of the Pied Piper, with the addition of new characters and songs.
